Hereford
United are backing local side Pegasus Juniors' bid to receive a 'Super
Grant' of £100,000 from FA Cup sponsors Budweiser and their Club Futures
Programme, with the Blue Square Bet Premier Club offering heavily
discounted prices for fans who vote for Pegasus Juniors in a Facebook
vote.
Pegasus
have already netted a £50,000 grant, which will help improve the
changing rooms and social club, but that amount could be increased to a
staggering £150,000 thanks to a Budweiser Super Grant, if they win a
Facebook vote.
In
support, The Bulls will name next Saturday's home game against Lincoln
City as 'Pegasus Day', and will offer £2 admission for anyone who casts a
vote in support of Pegasus at a Pegasus run stall in High Town on
Saturday morning.
Once voted, adults will be given a voucher that will entitle them to admission to United's Blue Square Bet Premier game for just £2 or £5 for a seat in the stands.

The
Bulls will also offer FREE entry to children who play for any of the
Pegasus Juniors' 23 children's sides, and extend the reduced priced
admission to parents.
United
Chairman David Keyte is optimistic of Pegasus' chances. “We're really
pleased to be able to support their bid” Keyte said “we like to think we
can support all of our local clubs in whatever way we can and we hope
that the reduced prices will offer a good incentive for as many Hereford
supporters as possible to add their backing.”
“£150,000 is a fantastic amount of money and I am sure that Pegasus will use it wisely.”
"This
is a fantastic opportunity for our club, and for the wider community,"
said Alan Savory, a Director at Pegasus Juniors. "We'd like to urge
people of Herefordshire and the West Midlands to vote for us - whether
they like football or not - to enable us to enhance the services and
facilities we are able to offer to our 23 teams and the local
community."
Pegasus
Juniors have produced a two-minute video which can been viewed on the
FA's or Budweiser's Facebook page, which explains why they deserve the
£150,000 winnings.
