Preview: Bulls vs Telford

The Bulls entertain AFC Telford in a rearranged Conference match on Tuesday night.

The game was originally due to be played in early December but was called off due to the Bulls' FA Cup involvement. The two sides met across seven Conference seasons before the Bulls' brief return to the Football League and the Bucks' demise and rebirth. Of the 14 games, the Bulls won seven and drew five with the Bucks winning just twice. The Bulls have won the last four matches between the sides, with a David Brown double and an opening strike from Andy Tretton sealing a 3-0 win at the New Bucks Head.

The Bulls will be seeking three points at home for the first time since early November. Thanks to Cup fixtures, the Bulls will turn out for only their third Conference home match in nearly three months. Tomorrow's game is the first of three home matches on the trot with a maximum nine points a possibility. Whether new signing Chris Sharp is allowed to play against his former side will depend on whether the Bucks inserted a clause into the sale, but Bulls fans will at least see the first home action of James Musa. The 21 year old played an unfamiliar wide midfield position on his debut.

Telford boss Andy Sinton has been hard at work reshaping his squad after a disastrous run of 11 Conference games without a win, bringing in former Everton trainee Gerard Kinsella and ex-Kettering defender Joe Lamplough. They come to Edgar Street having lost successive home matches, to Southport and Wrexham, to open 2013. Former Bulls Dan Preston, Ryan Valentine, Jordan Rose, and Steven Leslie are all expected to play some part in the match. Veteran striker Steve Jones, top scorer with seven goals this season, is returning after a four match ban.

Hereford United vs AFC Telford, Edgar Street, Tuesday 8th January, 7.45pm.
