News Round-Up

Former Bull Graham Hyde has been placed in caretaker charge at Boston after they sacked manager Jason Lee. Hyde was Lee's assistant with the club disappointed with their current 10th place standing in Conf North. Alfreton have extended the loan of midfielder Matt Harriott from Sheff Utd until January, and allowed striker Anthony Wilson to join North Ferriby United for a small fee.

Former Bull Gavin Mahon says he turned down loan moves to Port Vale and Bristol Rovers last month to fight for his place at Notts County. The 35 year old says he will be interested in a January move to Port Vale, which is half an hour from his house, if he doesn't get more games for the Magpies. Conf North side Guiseley are reported to have a weekly wage bill of £11,000. The claim comes from Hinckley, with Guiseley having average gates of around 500.

Dagenham have warned they may need to cut their wage bill after reporting losses of £386,734 for last season. Managing Director Steve Thompson told the press that the club had cut the wage bill continually since winning promotion to the League, but that gates were down by 20% this season and they were in a period of having only one home match in a month.

Bradford have been thrown out of the FA Cup after fielding an ineligible player in their draw with Brentford last Friday. They failed to get the correct written permission to play loanee Curtis Good by the noon deadline. The replay next week has been cancelled pending a possible appeal. Kidderminster have released midfielder Manny Panther by mutual consent. The former York and Exeter man made only two sub appearances after joining the Harriers at the end of August.

Forest Green have signed five of their players to longer deals. Midfielder Al Bangura, fullback Chris Stokes and centre-half Aarran Racine have all signed on until the summer of 2015, while defender Ed Asafu-Adjaye and goalkeeper Matthew Bulman have extended their stay until the summer of 2014.
