Truro City are to be kicked out of Conference South after apparently failing to secure the bond required to satisfy competiton chiefs.
It appears that the club's plan rested on a £10,000 offer from the local council being accepted to take the club through to December while an un-named bidder had made an offer to meet the wage bill while talks continued. This, apparently, was not sufficient for the Conference who were seeking a £50,000 bond to cover the travelling costs of clubs facing Truro for the whole season.
Truro's players and staff have been called to a 9am meeting tomorrow, while the Conference are expected to make a statement at some point during the day with Saturday's opponents Dover confirming that the match has been called off.
