Port Vale's Administrator has formally announced Paul Wildes as the club's preferred bidder. The 35 year old is reported to be the head of a £50million company, but Stockport are also claimed to have rejected him only two weeks ago as being a 'fantasist'. Mansfield's winding-up petition has been adjourned for seven weeks after the club disputed the £92,000 debt in the court.

Wrexham have announced plans for a enlarged club shop at their ground, with the project being funding by the club's community share scheme. The £120,000 fund comes from fan investment. Alfreton have allowed striker Tom Denton to remain with NPL side Worksop Town for two further months despite him scoring six times in five games during his first month there.

Former Bulls trialist Lloyd Macklin is out for three months after breaking a bone in his foot. The 23 year old, who has just come back from a hamstring problem, has only started in three of five appearances so far this season. Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has refused to comment on reports claiming the League One side paid Burnley £1.4million to get manager Eddie Howe back to Dean Court. The national press also claim Howe, 34, has signed a £15,000 a week three year deal.
