Mansfield Town are the latest Conference side to hit issues, facing court on Monday over a winding up petition.
They will face Minotaur Asset Finance Ltd over an unspecified debt, with message board rumours claiming that a former club director - ousted during current owner John Radford's takeover - is seeking the return of a £125,000 loan made to the club.
There has been no official statement from the Stags at present, but manager Paul Cox admitted after Tuesday's goalless draw with Lincoln that behind the scenes 'club politics' were hindering the side's progress.
Gates at Field Mill have, like many Conference sides, been disappointing this season. Average attendance has dropped by more than 400 despite heavy summer investment into the playing staff which stands at over 30 strong.
Meanwhile, the Conference have delayed a decision on Truro City until next week. It was expected that the axe would fall on the Conference side today, but they are now reported to have another week to secure the full £50,000 deposit they had been asked to obtain. Tomorrow's match with Dover remains postponed.
