"Everything seemed to be against us this week but we've come here today for a very difficult tie," said the Hereford United manager.
"I've seen them third or four times and I think they are the best team outside the Conference.
"I've seen them third or four times and I think they are the best team outside the Conference.
"Credit to their manager Karl, he's got them organised, they play decent football.
"We've created some chances today but, on the other hand, I thought James Bittner was fantastic in goal.
"The four back kept a third clean sheet on the trot.
"I was pleased for Joe Heath because he's had a bit of stick from certain personnel since I've come here. I thought he proved a lot of people wrong today."
Ryan Bowman scored both the Hereford goals.
"I thought he played well with Marsh.
"Everybody worked hard, chased lot causes, got blocks in.
"Today was a very important win for us."
It was difficult to be certain why the penalty, late in the first half, was given.
"I thought he gave it for the trip but I wasn't sure. Marsh was infront of him and he's clipped him and went down. Sometimes they're brave decisions from referees especially away from home.
"I thought it was a penalty, I didn't watch it, I just heard the cheers.
"And when Ryan scored the second one it did settle us down loads.
"A good game of football today."
FC United's Jerone Wright was sent off for kicking out at Joe Heath.
"I don't think it was so much for the kick-out. I think it was more he went to swipe at the ball, missed and he caught Joe. But it's not a sending off."
