David Keyte has told the Hereford Times why he felt the club should try and help supporters watch next Tuesday's match against Forest Green Rovers.
"We are conscious that supporters have been travelling up and down the country following the team in a difficult financial climate," said the Hereford United chairman.
"We have three occasions this season when a Saturday home game is followed by another on a Tuesday and we saw what happened the first time when the gate against Woking for the Tuesday night game dropped to under 1,500.
"We have very loyal supporters and this is a small gesture to them.
"We all need to stick together."
Meanwhile manager Martin Foyle has told the paper that Marlon Jackson should be in the squad for Saturday's game against Cambridge.
"Marlon has been back in training for the last ten days and is raring to go," said Foyle.
Finally Foyle doesn't appear too concerned that both Tristan Plummer and Tom Nichols have left Edgar Street.
"I thought it was time to change the pack."
