Something Old, Something New...

The Bulls are expected to take to the pitch tomorrow in the new home kit, one of a number of changes over the summer at Edgar Street.

With the "Blue Square Bet" signs replacing last year's Football League advertising boards the ground will have a different look, while the remodelled programme launches with a £1 16 page advertising-free preview edition.

Even the catering huts will see change tomorrow, but it's not permanent. Due to other commitments, usual caterers Ascaris are unable to cater the opening two friendlies so the club have organised supplies in-house. Elsewhere, the ongoing refurbishment of the VP Club means VP members will be temporarily housed in the Starlite Rooms.

On the pitch, boss Martin Foyle will sit in the Edgar Street dugout for the first time as Bulls manager and cast his eye over new duo James Bittner and Luke Graham as well as a string of trialists and the 11 players retained from last season.

One of those trialists won't be Chris McPhee. The released Torquay forward has signed a player/coaching deal with Salisbury City after baulking at the training and travel demands at several larger sides than the Conf South team.
