Marley Watkins Impressed In Friendly

One of the trialists who turned out for Hereford United was winger Marley Watkins who has played for both Cheltenham and Bath.

Now 21 he started his football career as a youth player with Swansea but moved to Cheltenham in the summer of 2007.

In 2010 he joined Bath City on loan and later signed for then in January 2012.

This afternoon the lively Watkins played on the wing in the first half. He often swapped sides with Sam Clucas and appeared to be able to use both feet quite well.

He also put in some good crosses and took a couple of useful corners.

His tracking back to help out in defence was also noticable.

However he did seem short of match fitness.
