News Round-Up

Luton have made former Gillingham defender Garry Richards their fifth signing of the summer. The 26 year old has signed a two year deal after his release from Priestfield, where he spent four years but saw the end of last season blighted by an ankle injury. Mansfield boss Paul Cox says he has identified 'X factor strikers' but will not waste the money handed to him by chairman John Radford as they seek a Football League return.

Newport have given transfer listed striker Craig McAllister permission to speak to a club over a move, with the local press reporting that the club is Conf South side Eastleigh. The Exiles want to move the forward on to free up funds for more signings. Gillingham face an employment tribunal starting today, with former striker Marc McCammon claiming racial discrimination against the club. It is expected to last four days.

The local press say Port Vale bidder Keith Ryder has received the missing documentation from the local council to complete his bid, and that the takeover is now expected to be completed by the end of the month. Wrexham boss Andy Morrell says he has had no contact from out of contract striker Mathias Pogba over his contract offer. His brother Paul, currently at Man Utd, is expected to move to Italy this summer with Morrell concerned that Mathias may follow suit. The 21 year old Frenchman scored 12 times last term.
