Lincoln are reported to be on the verge of axing manager David Holdsworth and replacing him with former Macclesfield pair Gary Simpson and Glyn Chamberlain. The pair were in attendance as the Imps were hammered at Stockport on Friday. Holdsworth, who arrived at the club in October, has won only eight of 29 games in charge. Bristol Rovers will tear up their pitch in the summer, with manager Mark McGhee saying he should apologise to visitors at the Memorial Ground due to its poor state.

Gillingham's proposed friendly with the Senegal Olympic side has fallen through after a row between the Senegalese football authorities and their Olympic authorities over who was in control of arranging fixtures. The Olympic group had arranged the game, with the footballing group saying they had no right.

Forest Green are aiming for the Football League after chairman Dale Vince authorised manager Dave Hockaday to sign three new striker to launch a serious challenge next season. One has already signed with two more due to sign pre-contracts next week.
