It has been confirmed this morning that Steve Evans has quit as manager of Crawley Town to join Rotherham United.
The dislikable Scot makes the move just hours before Crawley face Barnet. It is currently uncertain who will be taking charge of the Red Devils today, with neither them or the Millers confirming the move but Evans' friend Alan Alger, of Conference sponsors BlueSq, tweeted confirmation earlier after a night of speculation.
Update: Both clubs have confirmed the move, with Crawley appointing coach Craig Brewster - formerly boss with Inverness and Dundee Utd - as manager until the end of the season. Evans is quoted as saying: ' I came to have a meeting with some members of the board and the Chairman, and it's easy to say that it didn't take too long for my head to be thinking about Rotherham and not Crawley. That had to be some meeting because I certainly wasn't thinking like that on the way up.'
Along with Barnet entertaining Crawley, Bulls fans will also have an eye on Macclesfield's trip to Port Vale. Elsewhere, Plymouth entertain Aldershot, Dagenham travel to Gillingham, and Bradford visit Shrewsbury.
