Barnet Seek A Temporary Home

Barnet have begun talks with Harrow Council about relocating their first team games to their Hive training ground.

The club have planning permission for a 5,000 capacity Football League graded ground on the site, but are yet to get the agreement from the council with bars currently in place over the use of the land. In a club statement, Chairman Tony Kleanthous says any move there would be a temporary measure while they sorted out a more permanent home in Barnet but that even a temporary move would require public consultation.

The club will remain at Underhill for next season after agreeing a short-term extension to the leases on ground around the site, while they have lodged complaints against the local council over their handling of the leasing of the Copthall ground that they had previously eyed up to Saracens rugby side.
