Dagenham have signed striker John Akinde and defender Charlie Wassmer from Crawley on loan for the rest of the season. Former Bristol City man Akinde has scored once in 25 games this season and spent the end of last term with the Daggers, while Wassmer has made one appearance in six months for the Red Devils after starting the season as a regular. Crawley themselves have signed Leon Clarke on loan from Charlton until the summer, with the former Swindon man failing to score in nine games at the Valley.
Port Vale's Administrator has told the players he has employed an agent mainly to assess the value of the squad for any prospective bidder, but that if a serious offer came in for one of them he would have to consider it. Bob Young told the players they would be paid next week, and there would likely be no more redundancies at the club. Crewe have offered first teamers Adam Dugdale, AJ Leitch-Smith, and Harry Davies new deals with the club.
Darlington's supporters have released details of their financial forecasts for the club. They predict 1,900 attendances and £15 admission to break even if they remain in the Conference, and 1,700 attendances and £14 admission if they drop to Conf North. Kidderminster striker Jamille Matt is claimed by The Sun to be an illegal immigrant. The 22 year old is reported to have arrived in the country 15 years ago but never gained citizenship or a work permit. The club have called the revelation 'unwelcome and inaccurate' and the club are not facing a fine or points deduction as the paper claims. It is reported that the matter only came to light when Matt was picked for the England C side, and he has missed the last three weeks as a result.
