Dagenham have signed former loanee Ahmed Abdulla on a short term deal following his release by West Ham. The 20 year old midfielder was released in January after a month long spell with the Daggers. He also had time at Swindon earlier in the season. Burton will keep manager Paul Peschisolido after 'crisis talks' yesterday. The Canadian says he has been given permission to sign some loan players to 'improve the quality in the final third'.

Manager of the Month award nominees are Paolo Di Canio, Phil Parkinson, and Dean Holdsworth. Player of the Month award nominees are Swindon striker Paul Benson, Aldershot keeper Ross Worner, and Plymouth's Paul Wotton. Darlington's Administrator has told fans he had 50 expressions of interest in the club, but the current fans' bid was the only actual offer. He will meet with the club's creditors next Tuesday needing 75% to agree to an as yet undisclosed CVA proposal.

It is 50 years ago today that Accrington folded. Their £60,000 debt in 1962, which would have been around £1million today, forced the club's board to resign from the Football League.
