Port Vale supporters held a meeting yesterday where they set up a 'fighting fund' to assist the incoming Administrator to pay the bills. They raised £1,000 in a bucket collection at the meeting, while one supporter offered to pay for the player's coach to the next two away games. Valiants chairman Mike Lloyd attended the meeting, but was jeered and asked to leave. Non-contract signing Chris Shuker says he will stay with the club despite not receiving any wages since he received his months severance pay from Morecambe in August.

Aldershot have signed striker Josh Payne on a permanent deal from Oxford. The loanee arrived at the Rec in January until the end of the season, but will now remain as a permanent addition for next season. Gillingham's hopes of signing West Ham striker Frank Nouble back on loan have ended after Walsall agreed a deal for the youngster until the end of the season.

Darlington's supporters say they are to begin the process of taking the club out of Administration. If the move is successful, they could be in full control of the Quakers before the end of the season. Barnet striker Izale McLeod is reported to be a target of Crawley. The 17 goal striker is out of contract in the summer.

Shrewsbury have announced frozen season ticket prices for next season. Their cheapest Adult season ticket is £310 after the discount period. Aldershot have signed midfielder Michael Doughty on loan for an initial month. The QPR teenager had a spell on loan at Crawley earlier in the season, making 18 appearances.
