Millers To Continue With Patterson

Caretaker boss Darren Patterson will continue in charge of Rotherham for tomorrow's match with chairman Tony Stewart in no rush to make an appointment.

Stewart told the local press he was 'astounded' by the quality of the applicants for the job, and that five had been identified for interviews to now begin next week. He, however, denied that one of the five was Crawley boss Steve Evans.

Patterson has won one, and lost one, of his two games in temporary charge and previously had a spell as boss with Oxford. He has ruled himself out of the running for a permanent appointment, but will manage his third match tomorrow.

He will be without defender Michael Raynes, whose injured groin has not sufficiently recovered since being subbed against Crawley last weekend. Ryan Cresswell is likely to replace him with an otherwise unchanged XI. Patterson is yet to name top scorer Lewis Grabban in either of his first two teams with the former Brentford man, who has 18 goals this term, managing just 30 minutes of play under the caretaker boss.
