Hereford United's newly appointed manager Richard O'Kelly has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that his new appointment will be a big challenge.
"It's a big task isn't it to stay in the league.
"What pleases me is seeing the group of players this morning - how motivated and engaged in the process of what's happening whether it was me working or Jamie working on the coaching pitch.
"That was good to see.
"This is a very special football club. I'm excited to be given this chance and it's great to be back.
"It's my first job as a manager but what better team to start with?
"I'm determined to make sure the club starts to achieve its potential.
"We've got 12 games to show and prove to people just what we can do.
"I think with the group we have got we can do something."
United chairman David Keyte hoped that supporters would be pleased with the appointment and get behind the team.
"Richard was the man we decided could do a job for Hereford United. We're thrilled to have him and we hope he'll be guiding us to the future.
"He set the place alight as as coach six or seven years ago.
"We spoke to Richard 18 months ago when we gave Jamie the temporary position but he was tied up at Doncaster.
"I believe supporters will feel it's a good move for the club and hope, like we do, that the results will come through.
"Better still if we can see them here on a Saturday afternoon shouting the team on."
HUISA chairman Keith Dodd also welcomed the return of O'Kelly.
"I think it's a good move. He was very popular here in our famous season when we scored 103 goals.
"He's a genuine nice guy, very good coach and he motivates players which I think with some of our younger players we need that desperately at the moment.
"I think they've got the fans number one choice."
