Port Vale boss Micky Adams is deliberating his position as manager of the club after what he claims were 'broken promises'.
Adams says the new Administrator had promised that he would pay the players their wages, but nothing was forthcoming leaving Adams "taking legal advice" over his position:
"I've got be careful what I say for obvious reasons, but I've had a chat with Mr Young the administrator and I'm taking legal advice as we speak. It's been a big week in the history of Port Vale and it's fair to say it will be a busy week ahead for me.
"The players also took another kick in the teeth because I was told to tell them they would be paid when the administrator came in, but that hasn't happened."
The club paid 25% of the outstanding wages after Tuesday's game with Burton, with the rest expected to be handed over once the Administrator was appointed on Friday with a £600,000 bailout from the council incoming.
Whether Adams stays or not, the club are not expected to sign any new players before the summer. He has had to contend with a crippling injury list, forcing him to field a pair of non-contract midfielders and a string of rookie pros in recent games.
Administrator Bob Young believes he will have a preferred bidder for the club within a month, but the entire process won't be completed until mid-Summer.
