Northampton didn't play, giving them two games in hand with both them and the Daggers three points adrift of safety. Macclesfield are down to 21st after a seventh straight loss, 1-0 at home to Aldershot, with Bradford moving up after a 2-1 win at Torquay. Barnet lost 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury to remain nine points clear of danger, with Wimbledon's 1-1 draw with Morecambe keeping that pair in relative safety.
At the top Southend lead on goal difference from Cheltenham after beating Crewe 1-0, with Swindon up to third. The Shrews are fourth with Crawley down to sixth after not playing today. There is an eight point gap to seventh place Oxford, who earned a goalless draw at Bristol Rovers. Port Vale beat Gillingham 2-1 to close the gap to the U's to two points, with Rotherham drawing 1-1 with Burton.
In the Conference Fleetwood lead the table by two points after beating Cambridge 1-0. Wrexham beat Hayes and Yeading 4-1 to retain second by nine points from Luton. Forest Green beat Gateshead 2-1, while Kidderminster dropped out of the play-offs after a 1-1 draw with Lincoln.
