Port Vale's weekend derby match with Crewe is already in doubt, according to manager Micky Adams. Temperatures in Burslem are expected to drop to -7 through the week, freezing the pitch ahead of the weekend's warmer weather. Several other matches are also likely to be in doubt, with early forecasts predicting -7 in Barnet on Friday night, and -5 at the same time for Dagenham's crunch match with Northampton.

Plymouth are investigating claims of racist chanting against Southend's Bilel Moshni. The Pilgrims received complaints of anti-gypsy chanting against the French-Tunisian, and have also confirmed that one fan was ejected from the ground for making a religious insult in a seperate incident during the same game. Dagenham are expecting to have striker Cristian Montano recalled by West Ham. The Colombian has scored three times in ten games for the Daggers.
Shrewsbury and Dagenham are reported to be chasing Altrincham striker Damien Reeves. The 26 year old has over 30 goals so far this season in Conf North after netting 15 times during their relegation last term. Stockport are to receive a £180,000 loan from the local council to keep the club running. The loan is at commercial rates and is secured on a payment due in the summer on the transfer of winger Anthony Pilkington in 2009.
Talks over Darlington's future could become more urgent with the likelihood that Saturday's home match with Wrexham is to be postponed due to the weather. The lack of income from the game will see the Administrator cut the timetable for talks to be successful. Crewe hope to sign at least one loan defender, from a League One club, ahead of the weekend. The central defender may also be joined by a left back.
Southend's departed chief executive Tara Brady has hit back at chairman Ron Martin, claiming that he hadn't been paid while in the job and that his investment into the club was larger than Martin had previously claimed. In an article for the local press, Brady thanked every member of the club's senior staff except for Martin. Meanwhile, a coachload of Southend fans were stuck on the M25 for nine hours on Saturday night after their vehicle hit the central reservation in snow. There were no injuries, but it took their round trip to Plymouth to a whopping 26 hours.
Bristol Rovers say their planned stadium redevelopment is not affected by Bristol rugby club's takeover by Bristol City owner Steve Lansdown. The Pirates say the rugby side is committed to playing at the Memorial Ground next season but have an option to leave afterwards. Crewe have ended their interest in former West Ham full back Aaron Brown. The youngster turned down the opportunity to extend his trial in order to return to London.
