Peters hopes to keep Barkhuizen

There's little doubt that one of the loanees of the season to date is Tom Barkhuizen. He's already scored six goals for the Bulls and director of football Gary Peters would like to keep him for the rest of the season if an agreement with his parent club Blackpool can be reached.

"Tom is exciting," Peters told last night's Fans Forum.

"He looks to get behind players all the time and he gets goals for us.

"I can't see him going into Blackpool's team straight away and Tom is desperate to stay here and I think he will go back and say I want to stay down there.

"I think if they listen to Tom rather than just making their mind up that he's been here long enough.

"I don't see why they won't keep him here. I think it's good for him and he's learning from it."

Ryan Green was also mentioned and one supporter was keen to for him to have another contract at Edgar Street.

"We've got nine players here for the total cost of £1,000. Some of it is through favours. Richard Peniket doesn't cost us anything and Kern Millar who is coming from Barnsley and can't play until January also doesn't cost us anything.

"We've got so many hungary young lads on very little money so that we can then approach our players that are here at the moment that we need to sign up for next season.

"We may be able to offer him (Green) a little bit more than we could before because some of young players are desperate to play.

"So there's a good possibility that something might happen before the end of the season.

"We've talked to Ryan already. He knows what we think of him. He's a super player and he likes being at Hereford.

"He lives in Cardiff, it's not too far for him.

"I think he would like to stay if we can get something sorted out."
