News Round-Up

Bristol Rovers have released midfielder Stuart Campbell after coming to an agreement on the remainder of his contract. The 34 year old, who was caretaker boss at the end of last season, was seemingly frozen out by boss Paul Buckle despite promises of a new contract. Barnet boss Lawrie Sanchez believes he will lose striker Izale McLeod sooner rather than later. He expects offers for the 18 goal striker in the January window.

The Football League have confirmed to Port Vale fans that they are considering the current situation at the club and that 'discussions with the club are ongoing'. Saturday's home attendance was 1,400 - nearly a third - less than their previous home match before the latest scandal broke. Cambridge say they want to build a new stadium on land near the M11 motorway. The 8,000 capacity ground would be labelled a community stadium.

The farce at Weymouth continues after shareholders had to abandon their AGM on Monday night when the club failed to produce accounts. Only one director of the club attended to tell shareholders the accounts would not be available for another two months. Northampton have extended the free bus service running from Rushden through until the end of the season, but will only run it for Saturday games.
