Peter Ridsdale has resigned as chairman at Plymouth to take up the chairmanship at Preston instead. The Pilgrims are to recruit a new chairman shortly. Port Vale's Supporters Club have postponed the unveiling of a statue in the memory of former player and manager Roy Sproson due to their latest dispute with the club.

Barnet boss Lawrie Sanchez, Shrewsbury's Graham Turner, Swindon's Paolo Di Canio, and Cheltenham boss Mark Yates are all nominated as Manager of the Month for November. The Player of the Month award is between Cheltenham's loan keeper Jack Butland, Crewe teenager Nick Powell, Crawley's Tyrone Barnett, and Burton striker Billy Kee.

Arsenal have recalled keeper James Shea from his loan at Dagenham. The Gunners decided that the youth loanee was not getting enough games after playing mostly cup matches for the Daggers. Championship sides have 'agreed in principle' to financial rules based on UEFA's new Financial Fair Play rules. The rules will be gradually introduced from next season if final approval is won.

Wrexham are reported to be in need of £100,000 to cover their liabilities for the remainder of the season. The amount was uncovered after it was revealed that former joint owner Ian Roberts had involked a clause in a loan deal to speed up repayments after the club progressed in the FA Cup. Accrington midfielder Bryan Hughes is reported to be attracting interest from Aldershot and Rotherham. The veteran signed non-contract terms a month ago and has made four appearances for Stanley since.
