The Bulls entertain Burton on Saturday looking for a further push up the League Two table.
The Bulls are yet to beat Burton as a League side, notching up only one goalless draw in the four FL matches so far. In that game, last February at Edgar Street, both sides were reduced to ten men with Janos Kovacs being dismissed half an hour after Russ Penn went off for the visitors. The previous meeting at Edgar Street had seven goals, with the Bulls surrendering a 3-1 lead to go down 4-3 to a late Tony James goal - still his only strike in 157 games in a Burton shirt.
The Bulls welcome back loanees Tom Barkhuizen and Steven Leslie, and also see keeper Adam Bartlett fit for duty. With Jamie Pitman pondering a change in formation after a disappointing effort against Yeovil, Bulls fans may see a more attacking layout than the recent 4-5-1. He has at his disposal probably the most players he has had since the start of the season with the number of fit players around the 22 mark, compared with the 14 he has faced some matches with.
Burton travel to Edgar Street on the edge of the play-off spots. While they hold such a lofty position, it is down more to their home form than their road trips. Away from home they have scored and conceded 14 times in eight matches. Since a 6-3 win at Barnet they have lost trips to Aldershot and Oldham, scoring just once. Strikers Justin Richards and Billy Kee have 17 goals between them but Richards is already ruled out and Kee, the reigning FL Player of the Month, is doubtful. Former Bulls loanees Chris Palmer and Danny Blanchett could both feature alongside Tony James for the Brewers after returns from injury last week.
Hereford United vs Burton Albion, Edgar Street, Saturday 19th November, 3.00pm.
