Manager Jamie Pitman has welcomed the appointment of Gary Peters as director of football at Hereford United.
"It's not undermining, people probably thought that way when Lennie (Lawrence) came in last year," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I'm a young manager who needs maybe some experience and an older head who is going to guide you.
"He's done it with David Moyes who has become a very good manager at Everton.
"So it's not to undermine us or me as a manager. It's to help me move forward and the club move forward.
"And that can only be positive for everyone concerned."
