The Peters and Pitman Interview

After this afternoon's match at Swindon, which was drawn 3-3, both Gary Peters and Jamie Pitman gave their version of events to BBC Hereford and Worcester's Keith Hall.

"We showed some tremendous spirit especially after going two down," said Pitman.

"But we got back in the game and then to go 3-2 down and show more spirit again was fantastic and credit to the players.

"And we had one or two other good opportunities. Fantastic spirit and great for us to get a good point here."

The Bulls were 2-0 down at half-time.

"I think in the first half we were showing positiveness," commented Peters.

"We made a couple of mistakes and let goals in but we were still closing down the opposition and working hard.

"I remember the gaffer told me when I first came here that if we go 1-0 down we don't seem to come back, but the spirit and fire that was shown today certainly shows that the capabilities are there."

Hall asked about the substitutions, the first of which was Harry Pell in place of Kenny Lunt at half-time.

"We talked about it, Richard was involved as well," said Pitman.

"It (the subs) did made a big difference. Nicky was getting on the ball a lot and Gary said maybe we should keep him on rather than leaving Simon on there."

Youngsters Sam Winnall and Yoann Arquin both came on after 66 minutes.

"We really raised the tempo second-half," said Peters.

"Started turning them around and making them worry about us.

"It was that exciting I look twice as bad as Di Canio! I was jumping up and down like a ten year old.

"The tempo of the game is something we've got to think about because we look far better playing at that tempo than the tempo of the Oxford game.

"A bit like Blackpool, the type of way they play and how exciting it is for the fans. It was very much like that today."
