News Round-Up

Macclesfield have announced that former Bulls loanee Waide Fairhurst will miss another three weeks with his ongoing ankle problem. The Silkmen sent him to see a second specialist this week, and they hope that they have now cured the problem. They have also announced a contract extension with midfielder Colin Daniel covering next season. Bradford have agreed a settlement to their ongoing dispute with Man Utd over contract clauses from their sale of the player when he was just 12. The Bantams are reported to have agreed a £100,000 settlement.

Barnet have been asked to provide the FA with a copy of today's video from their game with Aldershot after a mass flare-up between the two sets of players during injury time of their win. The Bees say the incident was started by words from a Shots player. Port Vale defender Clayton McDonald has denied a charge of rape after appearing in court on Friday. The 22 year old stands accused alongside Ched Evans, and is scheduled to face trial in March.

Redditch have sacked a player after he allegedly punched the referee during their Evo-Stik Southern Premier match with Chesham United. The game was abandoned after Josh McKenzie hit out after having a penalty awarded against him with the Reds already one goal down. The player was arrested and taken to the local Police station, where Redditch chairman Chris Swan left money for him to get home as the squad left without him.
