Accrington are trialling veteran midfielder Bryan Hughes. The 35 year old former Birmingham man spent last season at Grimsby and Burton, and has just returned to the UK after a spell in Iceland. Several press reports claim Arsenal and Chelsea are chasing the 17 year old with a claimed £1.5million valuation.

Lincoln have named David Holdsworth as their new manager on a deal until the end of the season, 11 months after he left Mansfield. The 42 year old had two years at Field Mill after starting his managerial career at Ilkeston. Shrewsbury striker James Collins is reported to have been arrested along with Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan on suspicion of drink-driving after a Range Rover they were in was involved in an accident on the M1 on Sunday morning.
