News Round-Up

Barnet striker Charlie Taylor has submitted a defence to the FA after his charge of spitting at an opponent. A club statement says he reacted to provocation after an Aldershot player make remarks to Bees duo Clovis Kamdjo and Steve Kabba. The statement also says that the Shots have fined one of their players two weeks wages, although this has not been confirmed. The Bees have extended the loan of defender Gary Borrowdale until the end of the year.

Former Plymouth bidder Kevin Heaney's Truro City is claimed to be £400,000 in debt and the players have not been payed this month. Rumours circulating that the player had gone on strike at the Conf South side have been denied but the club has lost it's last two matches, conceding 12 goals in the process. Yeovil chairman John Fry has publically backed manager Terry Skiverton with the club in the League One relegation zone.

Northampton chairman Dennis Cardoza has confirmed that he is in talks to set up a Rugby League side in the town. Due to an expansion in the current RFL setup there are four new clubs due to be added to the third tier of their league in 2013, with the Cobblers chief looking to increase income at the Sixfields stadium. Port Vale have agreed to extend the loan of defender Liam Chilvers from Notts County for two more months.

Plymouth bidder James Brent is to hold urgent talks with a handful of former club employees who are yet to agree to his repayment plan over back wages. He needs 100% agreement over his five year offer but has around a dozen currently refusing out of nearly 250 who are subject to the deal.
