Bradford skipper Michael Flynn will miss two matches for his sending off at Edgar Street on Saturday. The first of his two yellow cards was his fifth of the season, adding to the one match ban for the red card. Before the match, Bantams co-chairman Mark Lawn called the squad manager Phil Parkinson inherited the worst in the division and also stated that they had no further budget for any new players. The Bantams have also released winger Leon Osbourne by mutual consent. The 21 year old hadn't featured this season after 37 games last term.
Plymouth bidder James Brent is reported to have offered the Administrator only half of their fees for their time in charge at Home Park. Acting chairman Peter Ridsdale claims the matter is the only thing holding up the deal. Meanwhile the local council will vote tomorrow on whether to buy back Home Park to lease back to the club, which could be shared with the Cornish Pirates rugby side after they opened talks to groundshare.
Barnet hope to nurse striker Ricky Holmes through training this week ahead of Saturday's trip to Edgar Street after the 24 year old was subbed during Saturday's match with concussion. It was the second successive match that he took a knock, and the third he had scored in. Torquay boss Martin Ling says his side is not in crisis despite going seven games without a win. He told the BBC: "There's a little bit of money in there but it's there for when we hit a crisis, I don't think it's crisis point at this moment in time."
Northampton boss Gary Johnson, a visitor to Edgar Street on Saturday, has questioned whether his players have the quality to challenge for promotion after Friday's loss to Port Vale: “Maybe we’ve got to look at whether the quality is there, and that is sort of what was said in the dressing room on Friday night."
