Bantams Top Scorer Expected To Miss Match

Bradford's top scorer James Hanson is expected to miss tomorrow's game at Edgar Street as he struggles with a calf injury.

The problem has seen him sidelined for their last two matches, and the trip to the Bulls is expected to be too soon for him to be available. Also missing will be defender Andrew Davies, who is suspended after his dismissal last week, while midfielder Adam Reed is a possibility to return after missing the last two games.

Goalscoring midfielder Dave Syers, who scored the Bantams winner against the Bulls last December, and midfielders Lee Bullock and Simon Ramsden are all still injured, while rookie forward Ross Hannah was injured last week and is unlikely to feature. Bermudan striker Nahki Wells is also expected to miss out after travelling back from international duty this week.

Manager Phil Parkinson expects a 'cup-tie atmosphere' at Edgar Street after Gary Peters' arrival and the comeback at Swindon. He told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

“We’re not playing someone where the fans are going to be on their backs quickly. They are going to be right behind them after Hereford’s result at Swindon, certainly for the first 20 minutes, and we’ve got to make sure we come through that period.

“We know what we’re facing and we’re strong enough to deal with it.”
