Hereford Game is Massive says Yates

Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates has said that tomorrow's local derby with Hereford United is massive.

"Hereford's form is not my concern," Yates told the Robin's OS.

"If we can play to our best and work hard then we have a great chance of getting a result. I've heard the statistic that we've never beaten them in the Football League and that must be stopped. If we go about things the right way then we have a chance of winning.

"Their 6-1 defeat will be difficult to come back from but that is none of my concern. My priority is getting the three points at the weekend, the follow weekend and Cheltenham Town. We know their strengths and weaknesses but every manager has commented on what a decent footballing side they are and how they have cause problems. We have to make sure we look after ourselves and impose the way we want to play upon them.

"This Hereford game is massive. We aren't too close to any other team but we do have a few which we call derbies and this is one of those. Players have already gone between both clubs so there will always be an extra spice. Hopefully there will be a good atmosphere and the fans get behind the boys."
