Villa Travel – Tuesday

Aston Villa v Hereford United
Carling Cup Second Round
Tuesday 23rd August 2011 KO 7.45 pm
Villa Park
Trinity Road
Birmingham
B6 6HE

The Bulls make their first visit to Villa Park since their debut season in The Football League back in the early seventies.

Villa Park is a fine all-seater stadium with a capacity of around 43,000.  For this game, Bulls’ fans will be in the upper tier of the North Stand.  Tickets can be bought on the day with admission costing £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.  The facilities at the stadium are excellent and the view from the North Stand is as good as you’ll get from behind a goal.

HUISA – All coaches depart from the Merton car park at 4.30 but fans are advised to arrive no later than 4.15.  Radford’s will be open from 2.00 pm for those wishing to wet their whistles before the journey. The club shop will be open all day.

BY CAR – Travel to Worcester and take the M5 (north).  Leave the M5 at junction 1 and take the fourth exit off the roundabout onto the A41.(sign Birmingham, Handsworth).  After about half a mile, bear left onto the A404 (sign Handsworth Wood, Perry Barr).  Continue following signs for A4040 until you get to the roundabout at the junction with Witton Road.  From here, follow directions for the available car parks.  Link to Parking plan - http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/ParkingInformation

REFRESHMENTS – there are bars and fast food outlets inside the ground.  Most Pubs are “Home Only” but the Witton Arms by the roundabout has a separate bar and entrance for visiting fans.

Safe journey.  COYB.
