As well as missing Hereford United's first League Two game of the season at Southend on Saturday, defender Michael Townsend will also have to sit out next Tuesday's Carling Cup-tie against Brentford at Edgar Street.
Townsend was sent off at Macclesfield during the last game of last season.
An unfortunate clash involving Townsend and Matty Hamshaw saw the latter tumble in the box and the referee point to the spot. Townsend, perhaps a little unluckily, was given his marching orders before Chalmers stepped up to fire home despite Bartlett getting a hand to the shot.
Last Saturday at Forest Green, Kenny Lunt was captain until Townsend came on as a sub.
