Subsidised Travel To Villa?

Tucked at the end of the OS article about the Carling Cup Tie at Aston Villa was the following sentance:

The club are currently looking at the possibility of subsidising travel to the game. More details will be released when a decision is made.

The subject was brought up at this afternoon's HUISA meeting.

HUISA arrange all the official travel and have found it difficult to balance the books whilst putting on coaches to every away game.

So the hope is that the club might help HUISA with the cost of running their coaches to Villa Park.

Chairman Keith Dodd told the meeting he would try to speak to the directors of Hereford United about their proposal.

He felt that any subsidy would pay for itself as Hereford should have a reasonable pay-day from the game. The Bulls should receive at least 40% of the gate.
