Kevin Wright has been appointed to referee Tuesday evening's Carling Cup-tie at Villa Park where Hereford United will be the visitors.
Cambridge based Wright has only been involved in one Hereford United game to date. That was against Millwall at Edgar Street on a Tuesday evening in January 2009 when the Bulls were in League One.
The Bulls lost 2-0 and Wright booked Steve Guinan.
In his two games so far this season Wright has dished out seven yellow cards.
