Two of Hereford United's highest earners, Janos Kovacs and Sean Canham, do not fit into manager Jamie Pitman's plans for the forthcoming season.
Both players were given expensive two year deals by Simon Davey, Hereford's previous manager, twelve months ago.
Pitman would like both players to go out on loan, if they can not find new clubs.
"They could go out on loan," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"They are not going to feature in what I'm trying to do here. It's probably best for them to get out and go and play some football somewhere."
Pitman is unlikely to be able to add to his current squad unless he can get one, or both, of the players off the books at least to some degree. However there is a provision in the playing budget for a couple of loanees which Pitman will probably use to try and bolster his squad.
"We have no more money to get anyone in."
