HUISA Annual General Meeting

Hereford United Independent Supporters Association held their AGM at the Richmond Club yesterday.

Chairman Keith Dodd took the meeting and there were 17 members present including top table.

The accounts to July 31 2011 were presented to the meeting by treasurer Nicky White. They showed a loss of £3908.46. However during the year HUISA had made donations to the club of £7412 and also subsidised away travel by £2000.

HUISA's main income comes from membership fees and the 50/50 draw. Both were higher than the previous year.

In the Chairman's report, Dodd noted the better liasion between the club and HUISA compared with the previous regime. The club wanted to see a strong supporters association he said.

He also spoke about the plans to rebuild the supporters club. Several members made points about what might happen to Radfords and the VP Club if/when the supporters club re-opens.

Speculation that Weatherspoons could be interested in a joint venture when the Blackfriars End is redeveloped was discussed. It was felt that this would not be in the interest of the club as their pricing policy could entice fans away from club outlets.

Members were concerned about the cost of running HUISA. The cost of the PO Box the association uses has risen to £170 and the cost of stationary had also increased. Some members felt it might be better only to use e-mail.
