Jamie Pitman has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that there are hopes that both Sean Canham and Janos Kovacs may soon leave the club. Neither feature in the manager's plans although Kovacs, pictured, nearly came on as a late substitute in last Tuesday's Carling Cup-tie.
"There are some little things happening," said the Hereford United manager.
"I don't want to say too much at the moment.
"But they want to go.
"If they don't want to go, it will become very difficult for them here because we've got great competition for places.
"If you're a player, you want to be playing. You have to ask yourself which would you rather do - play or sit here and do nothing."
Kovacs did trial for a Hungarian side during the summer break but there was no indication that Canham trialled with any club although he did spend a spell on loan at Kidderminster last season. Both are understood to be top wage earners at Hereford after former manager Simon Davey signed both of them last summer.
And to make matters worse, both are said to have deals which included a pay rise for this season.
