It's not easy to get to, the parking is difficult, it was pouring down and a lady steward lost her rag with some of us for taking a short-cut to the away turnstiles, but the visit to Kingsmeadow was one of the more enjoyable away days.
Once in the ground, Hereford United supporters were housed in the one half of a narrow lean-to.
The dug-outs were situated on the away supporters side of the ground which made it far too easy to shout mild abuse at Wimbledon manager Terry Brown (pictured).
And there was plenty of atmosphere and decent banter between the rival fans.
The stewards were good-humoured, the refreshments reasonable, and after around twenty minutes of the game the sun came out.
After the game we asked a few home fans what they thought of the stadium. The only problem, they said, is that it isn't in Wimbledon.
