News Round-Up

Morecambe have signed winger Kevin Ellison following his release from Rotherham. The 32 year old had an injury plagued three month spell at Bradford at the end of the season. Northampton have signed defender Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi following his release from Peterboro. The 21 year old former England u21 man spent the end of the season on loan at Sixfields.

Burton's hopes of signing loanee Sam Malone for next term appear to be over after the player told manager Paul Peschisolido he wants to play higher up next season. The Wolves youngster is out of contract with the Molineux club wanting £150,000 for the full back, but they have offered Malone a new deal but are likely to loan him out again. Wycombe have released defender Chris Westwood after he turned down a new contract.

Crawley have signed Cheltenham striker Wesley Thomas on a two year deal. The former Dagenham man scored 19 times for the Robins during his only season at Whaddon Road. Shrewsbury have confirmed that striker Jake Robinson will not be offered a new deal at the club. The 24 year old scored seven times in 18 games on loan at Torquay. The Shrews have also confirmed that former Bulls loanee Steven Leslie has a month to decide on his new contract offer.

Macclesfield are the latest side to ditch below-par caterers Lindley. They will take their catering operation at Moss Rose in-house next season. Only 17 Port Vale fans out of 900 respondents wanted their Supporters Club to vote in favour of the current board. Today's EGM could see the board ousted with 50% of the vote, but they could also block any new appointments leaving the club in limbo.

Stockport's Edgeley Park co-tenants Sale Sharks are considering leaving the ground in favour of Salford's new stadium. The 12,000 capacity ground should be ready next February, with a move one option over a redevelopment of Edgeley Park. Rochdale boss Keith Hill has left the club to become Barnsley's new manager. Bury have confirmed caretaker boss Richie Barker as their new manager for the coming season.

Southend have been turned down by Millwall striker Neil Harris. The veteran says he wants to stay and fight for his place with the Lions rather than join his hometown side. Peterboro wheeler-dealer Barry Fry expects Northampton to sign Posh midfielder Aaron Davies. The Wales international played for boss Gary Johnson at both London Road and Yeovil.

Fleetwood have signed striker Andy Mangan from Wrexham, reported from under the noses of Shrewsbury. The 16 goal forward spent 18 months at the Racecourse after coming back from his betting ban. Oxford have confirmed the signing of defender Michael Duberry on a two year deal. The former Chelsea man is their sixth summer signing.

Former Bulls loanee Sherjil MacDonald is reported to be on the verge of leaving Belgian side Germinal Beerschot. The 26 year old has spoken of his disappointment at finding out he would be relegated to the reserves next season on the internet after an injury hit campaign. He has a contract with the top flight strugglers until 2013. Ex-Bull Chris Hargreaves is second favourite in the bookies lists for the vacant Torquay job.

Macclesfield midfielder Paul Bolland has turned down a new deal at the club to sign for Mansfield on a two year deal. The 31 year old was voted player of the year by Silkmen players last season.
