Pitman on Gills stalemate

Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman has spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after his side's 0-0 draw at Gillingham.

"Very hard earned point.", commented Pitman. "The players have done what we asked them to do. Always get a reaction from them after a disappointing result (against Accrington)"

On Stuart Fleetwood's opportunity, "He (Fleetwood) expected to score, obviously disappointed. Took a game plan, got one or two good opportunities but haven't quite taken them. It's a great point here"

On the referee's performance, "Can't control that. Very picky, silly with his decisions, no point talking about that though"

"Need as many points as possible, can't say 50 is the target, got to go into every game hoping to get something out of it", stated Pitman when asked how many points would Hereford need to survive.

And finally, on a sick Waide Fairhurst being left out of the squad, Pitman joked "He's signed for Liverpool!"
