News Round-Up

Northampton are one of a number of clubs to be hit financially after the Skipton Building Society decided to close their Soccer Savings accounts after a 'business review'. The accounts paid a percentage to the clubs based on the sums invested in the club's name by supporters. Cheltenham boss Mark Yates has called his side's performance "embarrassing, pathetic and massively frustrating" after their 8-1 demolition by Crewe.

Lincoln winger Mustafa Carayol will miss at least two weeks, and could be out for the season, after damaging a hamstring within minutes of their weekend loss against Torquay. The Imps are down to bare bones already, and had to recall striker Drewe Broughton from loan to fill their bench at the weekend. Barnet boss Martin Allen says the club are not paying a penny for their loan players.

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido says his side's performance against Barnet was the worst of his two-year reign, telling the press "I don't think one player in that team deserves to be playing in the next game." Morecambe have announced a pre-season friendly with a Man Utd XI. Accrington have extended the loan of defender Jonathan Bateson to Altrincham for a second month.

Former Man City striker Uwe Rosler was spotted in the crowd as Bury beat Oxford at the weekend. The 42 year old has spent the last five years managing in Norway's top flight but is looking for a post in England. Stockport have appointed Graham Shaw as their new CEO. Shaw, a former pro footballer with Stoke and Preston, has been working as a sports-related lawyer and was due to work under bidder Mike Newton at the club.

AFC Telford are to conduct a review of the whole club to ensure they are ready to challenge for a Football League place. They are conducting a fans census to gather information, and have two business experts delving into every aspect of the club. The Conf North side are second in the table and favourites to go up to the Conference via the play-offs.

Former Bulls loanee Tony Capaldi has made a public apology on the radio for his comments made on twitter about current club Morecambe. The club say he has been disciplined 'according to PFA guidelines'. Capaldi will meet with manager Sammy McIlroy this week to find out where his future lies after staying away from the club for the last ten days.

Cheltenham say that striker Jeff Goulding may miss the rest of the season with an ankle ligament injury. They have also returned loan defender Ashley Eastham back to Blackpool at the end of his loan. Oldham say they will play next season at their current Boundary Park home but cannot say further. They have introduced a three-tier pricing that will see some games drop to £14 Adult admission, but others rise to £22.
