Mathias Not Impressed By Chairboys

Stockport boss Ray Mathias saw his side beaten by tomorrow's opponents Wycombe on Saturday, but the second-placed side didn't impress him.

Speaking to the press after the 2-0 loss he said: "I said at half-time Wycombe might be second in the league but they’re no great shakes. I thought we were equal to them and we were playing through them like butter at times, but we’re just not taking our chances."

The Chairboys may welcome back Chris Westwood for their trip to Edgar Street. The veteran defender has been out for three weeks with a groin problem but returned to training last week. Keeper Nikki Bull has also told fans he will be fit to play after needing ice on his shoulder all weekend after damaging it on Saturday.

Definitely out will be midfielder Matt Bloomfield, who went under the knife last Monday to cure a groin problem. Fellow midfielder Stuart Lewis is also expected to miss out after only just returning to training following ligament damage.

Striker Jon-Paul Pittman was not risked at the weekend after straining a back muscle and is likely to be named on the bench, but fellow forward Ben Strevens is expected to be fit after a bout of flu.
