Former Bulls player and manager John Layton has returned to the club to head up a new look and expanded youth department.
Layton, 59, played for the club during the 1970's - following his father - and managed the club's youth policy when it was introduced by Ian Bowyer in the early 90's. He later became Assistant Manager before assuming the Manager's role in 1994, with many of his signings going on to form the basis of Graham Turner's 1995 play-off squad.
After leaving Edgar Street Layton headed up the Herefordshire FA centre of excellence that briefly existed after the Bulls lost their licence due to losing League status. He then coached the Pakistan national team before posts in the Maldives and New Zealand.
A club statement says the youth policy will return in-house, ending the college-based schemes run initially with North Birmingham College and more recently with Pershore and Holme Lacy College. It will feature teams from under 10's to under 18's, with the latter handed two year scholarships with the club.
