David Keyte, the Hereford United chairman. has asked supporters to try and get to Edgar Street on Saturday for the game against league leaders Chesterfield.
"As we start our "six match season" through the fantastic efforts of the players this year to date, we remarkably find ourselves given a 5 point lead on Barnet and 8 points on Stockport County," Ketye told the OS.
"Who would have believed that back in October?
"Starting on Saturday at home to Chesterfield (do we ever make life easy?!) we, all Hereford United supporters, should get behind these young players and help to carry them to the finishing line. They deserve our support and encouragement.
"From Jamie Pitman through to the youngest player, these lads could not have done any more. It is a hard enough league to play in, without dealing with the extra curve balls that have been thrown at them this season. Let's help them through these final six matches."
