Wilson Quits Swindon

Danny Wilson has quit as manager of League One strugglers Swindon.

The club are expected to name his successor tomorrow with Chairman Andrew Fitton saying a 'proven, senior manager' has been lined up. Wilson leaves Swindon in the bottom four, three points short of safety with a game in hand, after just three points from the last 33.

Wilson took charge in December 2008 with the Robins in a similar desperate situation and guided them to safety before securing a play-off spot last term.

Meanwhile, Brentford have named caretaker boss Nicky Forster as their new manager. The 37 year old striker has earned 14 points from 18 since Andy Scott was sacked, keeping himself out of the side during that time.
