Results Round Up

Stockport have just 12 games left, less than any other side in danger, to save themselves after losing 2-1 at Cheltenham tonight and remain rooted to the foot of the table. It wasn't all good news for the Robins, who recorded their worst ever Football League attendance with just 2,191 through the gates. Torquay's financial position can't be much better after just 1,514 watched their 1-1 draw with Rotherham - some 900 under their season average. The Bulls slip a place in the table after Aldershot gained a point with a 1-1 draw with Gillingham, while Burton closed the gap with a 3-2 win at Northampton - also in front of a season low gate.

Lincoln eased their nerves with a 3-1 win over Oxford, in front of another season low crowd, with the U's remaining two points shy of the play-offs. Shrewsbury's ability to throw it all away was evident again as they went down 3-0 at home to Bury, with the Shakers taking the final automatic spot. Chesterfield's lead is up to nine points after a 4-1 win over Wycombe.

In the Conference Wimbledon had a goalless draw at Hayes and Yeading to extend their lead to four points, but Crawley have six games in hand. Luton won 1-0 at Forest Green to keep an outside chance of the title, and Rushden signalled a late play-off run with a 5-1 win over Bath.

At the foot of League One, Walsall beat Southampton 1-0 to move out of the bottom four. Bristol Rovers lost 1-0 at home to Colchester to go four points short of safety.
